After the big ISU Congress
The Speedskater was in a real mess
Too far to travel
Off to Australia
And French skating was in a failure

So he said:
Won't skate in a land Down Under
No TV fees that I can plunder
I'll call up Didier's number
And Nice will get the money thunder.....yeah

So Speedskater called up Didier
And told him Worlds would come up his way
Didier was glad
He needed more francs
And A&P atop the world ranks

And we say:
Give us some skating Down Under
This whole big affair makes us wonder
We don't care if Nice is funner
The Speedskater has made another blunder...yeah...
