Close the Grand Prix to me, keep my home town from me
Hold up the sanctions and put out the lights -
What do you want from me, ISU slavery?
I may be a skater, but I know my rights!

Since it seems so important, I would ask the ISU why,
But I know the answers lie in our own hands....

Close every rink to me, keep all my fans from me
Popular skaters should not stand alone
Together we’ll find our own peace of mind,
For we’ll form an IFSU of our own.

You think I don’t matter, I’m only one skater,
You’ll make more new stars and the public will pay;
Just look at those ratings, they’re worse than last week’s were -
Who’ll bother to watch if you drive me away?
